Welcome to Family Safety Plan by Music Academy Success®, LLC. This privacy notice applies to the Family Safety Plan pledge online platform ("the Platform") located at FamilySafetyPlan.org and it governs the use and collection of information collected from the Platform's users ("Users").
By using the Platform, you consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Notice.

Platform: the FamilySafetyPlan.org website

Users: Music School owners who sign our pledge.

Personal Data: information about a natural person that can be used to identify that individual, such as first and last name, address, telephone number, e-mail, music school teachers, or music school directors.
Collection of Information
Protecting the information we collect from our users from unauthorized access is our priority. In operating the Platform, we may collect registration and contact information provided to us during the registration process. Users entering Personal Data in the Platform concerning any individual must adhere to the provisions of this Privacy Notice and the Terms and Conditions of Use. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under the age of 13 – only their parent(s)/guardian(s) may provide us with that information.

Users provide information to us, during the pledge registration process.

Our servers automatically collect certain technical and usage information from individuals using the Platform, such as IP addresses, dates and times of access, error messages, and log files.
Some of the information Users provide to us during the membership account creation process includes Personal Data, consisting of an individual's name, address, telephone number, e-mail, age, music school teachers, or music school directors.
We may also collect certain information about your computer hardware and software, such as your IP address, date and time of access, error messages, log files, browser version, operating system, location data, computer or device details, pages viewed, and items clicked (computer information). This computer information is automatically collected by our servers and we only use it internally for the operation of the Platform, to maintain the Platform, and to provide general usage statistics regarding the use of the platform in order to enhance users' experiences.
Use of Personal Data
We collect and use Personal Data provided to us by Users to operate the Platform and to deliver the services Users have requested. We may also use such Personal Data to inform Users of other products or services available from the Music Academy Success® Company and its affiliates such as the Musical Ladder System®. By signing the Family Safety Plan pledge the user agrees to receive these communications. From time to time, we may contact Users with surveys to conduct research about their opinion regarding the Platform's current features and services or about features and services we may offer in the future.
We may share limited Personal Data provided to us by Users with our trusted partners to help perform statistical analysis, send Users e-mail or postal mail, provide customer support, or arrange for the delivery of our products and services. All such trusted partners are prohibited from using such Personal Data, except to provide these services to the Company, and they must maintain the confidentiality of that information.
From time to time, we may share limited Personal Data provided to us by Users with third parties who want to contact our Users about other products or services for marketing purposes. Such information is only shared in accordance with the information sharing preferences of each User.
We will disclose the Personal Data provided to us by Users, without notice, only if required to do so by law or if we have a good faith belief that such disclosure is necessary to: (a) conform to the requirements of the law or comply with legal process served on the Company; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of the Company; and, (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of Platform members or the public.
Legal Basis for Collecting Personal Data from Users
Whenever we collect Personal Data from our Users, we will do so on the following legal bases:

The User's consent to such collection and use

Out of necessity for the performance of an agreement between us and you, such as your agreement to use the Platform;

Our legitimate business interest, including but not limited to the following circumstances where collecting or using personal data is necessary for:

Our Retention of Personal Data
We may retain Personal Data provided to us by Users for a period of time consistent with the original purpose for collection. For example, we keep Personal Data for no longer than reasonably necessary for the use of our products and services and for a reasonable period of time thereafter. We also may retain Personal Data during the period of time needed for us to pursue our legitimate business interests, conduct audits, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Security of Users' Personal Data
We take the security of the Personal Data our Users have provided to us extremely seriously. We utilize multiple technologies, processes, and protocols to protect against the loss or unauthorized access, use or disclosure of personal data. Such safeguards include (but are not limited to): encryption, access controls, data backups, passwords, and doing business with reputable trusted partners and third parties.
Although we take commercially reasonable precautions to safeguard the information our Users have provided to us from unauthorized access, no software platform or data storage method can be 100% secure; thus, we cannot make guarantees relating to data security. However, if we become aware of any data security incident impacting the Personal Data our Users have provided to us, we will take appropriate and timely action in accordance with the law.
Opt-Out & Unsubscribe
We respect the privacy of our users and give our users an opportunity to opt-out of receiving announcements of certain information. Users may opt-out of receiving any or all communications from the company by emailing us here: webmaster@familysafetyplan.org
Updates to this Privacy Notice
We may occasionally update this Privacy Notice to reflect feedback from our users, and as technology and our products and services evolve. We will endeavor to inform our Users of these updates before they become effective, and when we do update this Privacy Notice, we will also update the 'effective date' at the top of this Privacy Notice, to allow our users to know the last date it was updated. However, any changes to this Privacy Notice are effective on the date they are posted. We encourage our Users to periodically review this Privacy Notice to stay up to date with our privacy practices.
